How You Can Help With This Project
T
his site began as a personal family web site and has developed into a major reference site for all the known Barnum lines of descent, from the immigrant ancestor Thomas BARNAM (1625-1695) and his English forebears, down through the present. As a reference site for anyone who is researching the genealogy of the Barnum, Barnam and Barnham families worldwide, its maintenance has become a daunting task for one person.S
o, I ask that my labor be supplemented by that of volunteers who visit and use the site regularly. There are several actions that would help me in the maintenance of the Barnum Family Genealogy site.P
lease consider:1) Submitting your family information to this site.
That will help keep it accurate and up to date. The link titled "Submit Your Own Family Information," which appears on the home page of this site, will tell you the best way to do that.2) Typing or scanning in records for the archives section.
If you can provide those research documents that you're willing to share in electronic format, as an attachment to an E-Mail, that will speed the process of getting them posted on line.3) Responding to queries from other researchers.
We're all very busy with our own research, and we often lack the time to help others with their research problems. However, if each of us can spare a few minutes now and then to review the queries of others and respond to them, they may end up providing data of use to all of us.The greatest need right now is copies of research documents (church records, cemetery records, family bibles, etc. that are in the correct format to be posted on line.
If you think of a way to help that doesn't already appear above, I'd appreciate hearing your suggestion. "Many Hands Make Light Work."
