Unfortunately, due to the unscrupulous acts of a few persons, I no longer provide the entire Barnum Gedcom on request.
The reason for that change in policy is that I have discovered several cases where persons have taken the complete Barnum family genealogy and posted it to their web sites as their own work. In most cases, the individuals involved were "family collectors" with little or no proven connection to our family. Sadly, in at least one case the person involved was selling the information for a profit, maintaining that it was the product of original research. Obviously, I cannot condone or support such actions.
It is unfortunate when the selfish or illegal acts of a few persons adversely affect the convenience and enjoyment of others, but I will make every attempt to respond to legitimate requests with all the needed information. Thank you for your understanding.
